Jeff Maysh
The multi award-winning journalist is a former PTC New Journalist of the Year, IPC Writer of the Year, and Press Gazette Feature Writer of the Year for his work at iconic ‘lad's mag', Loaded. His adventures have seen the writer shipwrecked on a deserted Fijian island, in the ring with illegal Australian gypsy boxers, and living homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. He has investigated Tokyo's illegal cycle courier races, London's machine gun black market and Poland's Nazi hooligans.
A regular contributor for Company magazine, his popular column, "Jeff", has entertained readers for over a year, while he also writes for Glamour, NME, More, and The Sun. In 2007 he authored the biography of Krays gangster Freddie Foreman, "Brown Bread Fred," (John Blake Publishing), collating the life story of London's most notorious bank-robber from his villa in Marbella.
A consistently outspoken ‘talking head,' Jeff has judged ‘100 Greatest Sex Symbols' for Channel 4, sparred with Ben Shepherd on the GMTV sofa, and provided opinion for BBC News 24 and Sky News. As a TV presenter he has worked for Tottenham Hotspur, and recently filmed an advert in Canada for the Discovery Channel. He appeared in the 2005 British film, "The Business", starring Danny Dyer.
As a celebrity interviewer, his world exclusive from inside Pete Doherty's house in 2008 saw him nominated for Interviewer of the Year at the PPA awards, or ‘the magazine Oscars'. He still owns one of Doherty's original paintings of lover Kate Moss, completed entirely from the singer's blood. Lovely.Clip:
